Behind the Scenes 

‘See You later…’

This month's behind the scenes clip is exclusive to subscribers like you! It comes from a production feedback sessions for my upcoming Christmas song, “A Christmas Pampering Holiday”. It captures producer Bob Harlow and me trying to work out a harmony for the build up to the final chorus. 

Songwriting is a process of trial, error, laughter, and seeing what sticks!

‘Aries’

Staying on the subject of laughter, this month I am revisiting one of the first pop songs I ever wrote, about a powerful desire for control, self assertion, and ambition. I wrote it as a tribute to one of my biggest influences, Jim Morrison of The Doors. It is an unlikely fusion of Madonna, retro organ, and psychedelic rock. You are probably thinking, "What?" 

The lyrics are bizarre. With a few tweaks and a more modern production, this could actually be a hit. 

It is so infectiously hooky that you'll be singing it all day: I wanna dominate, dominate, dominate, dominate!

Happy Summer!

This month's playlist is a collection of 90s classic anthems that I danced my socks off to in my younger days. Whenever I listen to these songs, I cannot help but smile, as they bring back some of my happiest memories of clubbing with friends in Manchester, where I lived from 1995 to 2005. I quickly added a couple of my bangers there too!
